The City of Conroe is committed to financial transparency. In this spirit, the City has developed a Financial Transparency webpage designed to provide citizens quick and centralized access to financial documents. On this page, you will find budgets, official statements, audited financials, payment registers, procurement, pension, debt obligation, and various other financial documents. Accountability and financial transparency are hallmarks of a well ran government, which is why the Conroe City Council has made government transparency one of its priorities. The City’s transparency efforts date to 2007, when the City Council began posting agenda documents for its meetings online. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts introduced its Leadership Circle program in December 2009, and the City’s formal Transparency Page debuted in 2010, exceeding the requirements of the program. The City received the highest level of recognition from the Comptroller’s Office in each year of the Leadership Circle program. In 2016, the Comptroller introduced a new Transparency Stars program, and the City committed to providing the information required to achieve recognition for this new program, in addition to other information that will benefit the citizens of Conroe.  The City is striving to achieve all 5 Transparency Stars.
