From streets and sidewalks to the water system, sewer system, drainage facilities, traffic signals, and municipally owned buildings, every aspect is diligently overseen. The department also ensures the city's water production and quality, operating a treatment plant that converts raw sewage into clean effluent before discharging it into the San Jacinto River.

The City of Conroe Public Works Department provides 24-hour response to Public Works-related emergency services requests. To report an emergency such as traffic hazards, water leaks, or sewer stoppages, call the Public Works Department at (936) 522-3885. Don't assume your neighbor will make the call for emergencies.
