Update: Now Open - San Jacinto Bridge at Hwy 105 Flooding

Post Date:08/28/2017 3:09 AM

Update:  Hwy 105 is Open.  Will monitor for changes.

The bridge on Hwy 105 at the San Jacinto River is anticipated to be flooded by 3:30am, due to record levels of water being released from Lake Conroe Dam. FM 2854 is already closed at this time. Flooding is imminent in several areas.

The alternate route between Conroe & Montgomery is FM1097 between I45 to 149. As of this time this will be the best route.

Continued flooding is expected throughout the week. Heavy rains and rising water levels continue to occur around the City of Conroe and surrounding region. Any areas that may be affected should take action immediately and find a safe location. A flash flood warning is in effect for residents of Conroe.

Notice: for those areas that are affected by the release of water from the Lake Conroe Dam please be advised to monitor www.sjra.net for the updated release amount.
