2017 Employee of the Year is Tommy Woolley
Assistant Director of Projects/Transportation-Engineering Tommy Woolley has been named the 2017 City of Conroe Employee of the Year. The City of Conroe’s Employee of the Year program is designed to recognize the work and actions of the City’s employees that have displayed on a consistent basis, for an extended period, exceptional service.
Tommy Woolley is an outstanding leader and sets a great example for the Engineering Division and the City. He began his work at the City July of 2012. Tommy always makes time to help others with anything they need, regardless of his busy schedule and does this with a patient demeanor.
“This individual is a wealth of information on City projects and is the ‘go to’ person for city staff and the public. This individual leads by example; bringing out the very best in staff and provides consistent, positive and highly qualified leadership in all aspects of the job.” City Administrator, Paul Virgadamo said about Tommy Woolley at the awards lunch.
Mr. Virgadamo went on to say, “Tommy is a problem solver, a team player and positive influence on everyone that interacts with him. His character, work ethic and overall positive personality are to be commended.”
Diana Bell, Communications Officer for the Conroe Police department and Damien Tijerina, Network Services Supervisor for the IT department were also recognized for their exemplary service.
Diana Bell who was the 2nd runner up for Employee of the Year, has been a highly valued employee in the Communications Division of the Conroe Police Department since June of 2014. She is invested in her work and enjoys the job as evidenced by her compassion for co-workers and the public.
3rd runner up, Damien Tijerina, has been with the City of Conroe since July of 2000. He is an outstanding supervisor who brings a high degree of energy, commitment, flexibility and professional conduct. He is dependable and works diligently to keep all technology for the city up and running at all times and is always willing to go the extra mile.
